Beta Participation Note
1. What this is
We are trying a pre-release version of Sweet Spot with a small invited group on a Google Play closed testing track. Taking part is voluntary and free. As a tester you use a version of the app that is still being built, and you can tell us about the problems you see. The 13+ age rule and the content limits for users aged 13–18 apply in the beta exactly as in the app.
2. This is a test build
- Expect bugs, crashes and slow spots; features may change, appear or disappear.
- During the test your game progress, shared records or settings may be lost or reset. Do not keep anything you cannot afford to lose only in the app.
- We will announce in advance whether your data carries over to the release version when the beta ends; carrying it over is not guaranteed.
- Please do not share the test build, its content or test access outside the test group.
3. How your data is handled during the test
The beta does not change the privacy rules. The app runs under the same rules as the release: usage statistics and the research profile are off by default, answers to sensitive cards never leave your device, and voice notes stay on your device. Data created during the beta is processed to run the product and to find and fix bugs in the test build; retention and deletion follow the Privacy Policy.
Specific to the beta, we also process:
- Tester list: To add you to the closed test, the e-mail address of your Google account is added to the tester list in Google Play Console (or to a Google Group created for the test) and used for the invite and test announcements. It is removed when the test programme ends or when you leave. Google’s own processing is governed by Google Play’s terms.
- Premium gift: The licence record needed to grant the gift (anonymous user ID and gift status) is kept through RevenueCat and the store.
- Your feedback: see section 5 below.
Whatever happens to your data when the beta ends, the retention periods in the Privacy Policy and your right to “Delete my data” apply unchanged.
4. Premium gift
- Testers receive Sweet Spot Premium as a free gift until open beta starts.
- The gift ends when open beta starts. When it ends, Premium features may switch off; records you created are not deleted, only access to Premium content falls back to the free tier.
- If the gift is given as a store promo code, depending on the code’s terms the subscription may continue as a paid one when the period ends. In that case we say so together with the gift; if you do not want that, cancel the subscription in your store account before the period ends.
- The gift has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and may be withdrawn if misused.
5. Feedback
Feedback is the whole point of the beta. Write to us from Settings > “Report an issue” in the app or at hello@sweetspot.red.
- A test report sent from the app carries the note you write (up to 2,000 characters), the name of the screen you were on, the app version, language and platform. Screenshots are not uploaded to our servers. No user or couple ID is added to the report.
- Please do not put your own or your partner’s personal details (full name, phone, address, details of your private life) in the note.
- Test reports are kept for 12 months and in-app content feedback for 24 months; after that they are deleted or kept only as aggregate counts.
- We may use suggestions and bug reports you send to improve the product without paying for them (Terms of Use, section 7).
6. Leaving the test
- You can leave at any time: use the option to leave the programme on the test programme page in Google Play, and uninstall the app if you like.
- Uninstalling only clears the data on your device. If you want your server records deleted too, use Settings > “Delete my data” before uninstalling, or write to hello@sweetspot.red.
- Lodos may stop, extend or change the beta programme or the test group without prior notice.
